Immersion in the National Nature Reserve (Offendorf Forest): 22 kilometers from Haguenau

In the heart of wild nature, dive into the forest massif from Offendorf and in the Nature reserve Offendorf National. Access to the reserve, unmarked, takes a 2km stretch from the village, then you walk on the high water dikes of the Rhine for 30 minutes.

This Rhine alluvial forest of 60 hectares is worth it, indeed, we recommend it to the walkers of intermediate level, who like to immerse themselves in nature. So if that doesn't scare you more, come and sink into this lush universe jungle-like and observe various biotopes, as well as many insects and birds of all kinds.

Useful information : Park your vehicle next to the municipal hangar (at the end of the rue de la Digue), leaving Offendorf towards the Rhine. Continue on foot to the high water dike that you take (on the left) for 2 km. About 400m after the 4th blokhaus, a path (on the right) descends to the nature reserve, which you enter by crossing a wooden bridge. Be sure to stay on the trails.

In the footsteps of the fighters (Circuit 1870 Alsace Verte, Woerth): 16 kilometers from Haguenau

Want to take a leap in time and history ? This hiking circuit of the "Battlefield of August 6, 1970", offers you to go in the footsteps of this heavy past. During your walk, you will discover imposing monuments erected in homage to the combatants. The Elsasshausen tower, or theChurch of Peace in Froeschwiller, built in place of the village church burnt down during the battle.

Through fields, forests, orchards and villages, this itinerary guarantees you a dive into history but also into the landscapes of " Alsace Verte ».
