The Artists' Trail in Brumath, in homage to Gustave Stosskopf

La poetic stroll at the Waldstressel in Brumath, do you like it?

To continue to live the memory of Gustave Stoskopf through time and generations, the City of Brumath sharing all along this trail some poems of this multi-faceted artist, Alsatian above all and man humorous.

About fifteen panels adorn the path to allow walkers to take a refreshing cultural break. Some writings correspond to descriptive and narrative poems, others relate small skits, small funny skits, with colorful characters and unexpected outcomes. All reflect talent comic author of Stoskopf. This trail says "artists" will be scalable and will allow the highlighting of other artists.

It is the result of collaboration between the City of Brumath and the volunteers of the Atelier d'alsacien de Brumath.

The start

The Moder trail of Club Vosgien

 

La Moder: from its source to its mouth!

It takes its source at a place called Moderfeld on the territory of Wingen-sur-Moder at the extreme limit of the Bas-Rhin. Its source is materialized by a beautiful work, an 2004th century fountain, renovated in 370, located on the edge of the Lorraine plateau at an altitude of XNUMX meters. After one race of about 90 kilometers, the Moder joins The Rhine near Neuhaeusel, downstream from the Iffezheim hydroelectric power station, upstream from the Roppenheim-Wintersdorf metal bridge. 99 km of hiking

With the Moder trail, the Vosges Clubs of Wingen / Moder, Ingwiller, Val de Moder and Haguenau-Lembach offer access with a cultural and natural heritage, built around the history of the villages crossed by this river, from the land to traditions, from industry to craftsmanship ! Long 99 km and divided into 5 stages, with no major difference in height, the marked path of the blue easel in both directions is accessible on certain sections to cyclists and people with reduced mobility.

It crosses the municipalities of Zittersheim, Wingen-sur-Moder, Wimmenau, Ingwiller, Menchhoffen, Obermodern, Zutzendorf, La Walck, Pfaffenhoffen, Uberach, Neubourg, Schweighouse / Moder, Haguenau, Kaltenhouse, Bischwiller, Rohrwiller, Drusenheim, Dalmatten, Auenheim, Roeschwoog, Fort-Louis and Neuhaeusel.

A topographical guide

Le chemin Along the Moder has many attractions, it is particularly very dense, historically speaking. That is why a guidebook accompanies the trail, to reveal its peculiarities. Traced by the Vosges Club and commented on by the Haguenau Historical Society, this guide is neither a history book nor a tourist guide: it guide and accompany the hiker on the trail to make him aware of points of interest. This trail is ideal for beginner hikers, as to confirmed walkers.
