On the heights of Val-de-Moder (Hill circuit): 18 kilometers from Haguenau

Nestled between hills, vineyards, forests, and orchards , this route offers unique viewpoints . The Val-de-Moder unfolds its landscapes during a pleasant and discovery-filled walk! You might even be lucky enough to witness a breathtaking sunset!

Along the way, you'll pass an old vineyard shelter. At Geiersberg, settle down on the Napoleonic bench made of Vosges sandstone to enjoy the panoramic view from 261 meters above sea level: the Haguenau Forest and the Outre-Forêt region are part of the scenery. Then, on the heights of Morschwiller, you'll once again overlook the Alsace plain; the view stretches from the northern Vosges Mountains to the Black Forest.

This hike is ideal for discovering a hilly area of ​​the Haguenau region.

Practical information : The Hills Trail, 7,2 km, is marked with a red ring (not to be confused with a solid red circle). Access is possible from the parking lot of the former Pfaffenhoffen train station (intersection of D419 and Rue du Rail in Pfaffenhoffen): facing the former station, turn right, walk alongside the railway line, then cross it.
