Who said you had to go to the other side of the world to to escape ?

Marvel a stone's throw from us, it's possible and it's the right time! Every week this summer, we share with you getaway ideas outdoors and nature to do in our corner of Alsace, or less than an hour's drive from Haguenau.

On the Trame Verte in Bischwiller (9km from Haguenau)

Although rather discreet on the Alsatian scene, Bischwiller offers a setting conducive to beautiful bucolic walks. Thanks to a network of discovery trails developed in the heart and around the city, it is good to stroll in the streets, on the edge of the forest, and as far as the Ried plain.

The trail " Trame Verte and Hasensprung »Of 8km starts at Parc du Château. Both poetic and relaxing, the green fabric is a real green lung located in the heart of the city. Unmissable: a contemplative stop on the footbridge suspended over the body of water called "jute pond", where the lucky ones can be surprised by the graceful dance of Swan.

Useful information : Duration about 3 hours for this loop circuit, with red markings. Departure: parking lot of the Protestant church (rue de l'Eglise). Others circuits signposted are available to discover Bischwiller.

The Cleebourg wine trail (26 km from Haguenau)

A vineyard, in the north of Alsace? Yes, you read that right ! One of the departures of the Alsace wine route, admittedly isolated from the rest of this famous tourist circuit, is located near us and bears the colors of Alsatian grape varieties: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewürtzraminer.

It is on the heights of Cleebourg, small village in south of Wissembourg, that we take the start of this walking tour to discover the vineyard. Three routes are possible which allow you to discover all the facets of the surrounding landscapes: a wine trail, a forest trail and an arboreal trail.

Le wine trail, the shortest, will take you through fields and meadows. After a good part, you will arrive in the vineyard with a view of the village of Cleebourg, towards which you will descend before returning to the Cleebourg Wine Cellar, starting point of this loop.

Useful information : 4,6km loop trail passing through vineyards and forests. Departure from the parking lot of the Cave Vinicole de Cleebourg (wine route, Cleebourg), where an information panel with a map presents these routes. A forest path (19,8 km) and an arboreal path (11,8 km) are also possible. Same starting point. We get the trail maps from the cellar, open every day.
