Walks and more walks

Who said that the forest and the walks are reserved for summer or spring?

In this article, find three of our favorites to test during this period.

The Blumengarten circuit in the Exceptional Forest® of Haguenau

Discover some remarkable trees of the Undivided Forest. Unique in size, age, history, originality and even their shape, they are part of the natural and cultural heritage of the Haguenau forest to which they give its identity. From Gros-Chêne, follow the signs for the blue ring. 10km - 2h30.

Our favorite of the circuit: The pedunculate oak of the Nanquette crossroads which measures 1,26 m in diameter and 28 m in height. It is remarkable because of its location in the center of the crossroads, its size and its port. On the richest soils of the forest, some oak trees can reach 40 m height. At the foot of the oak, a bench invites you to mark pause.

Before leaving download the circuit here and take the map of walks in the Haguenau forest.

On the Green Trame in Bischwiller

Although rather discreet on the Alsatian scene, Bischwiller offers a setting conducive to beautiful bucolic walks. Thanks to a network of discovery trails developed in the heart and around the city, it is good to stroll in the streets, on the edge of the forest, and as far as the Ried plain.

The trail " Trame Verte and Hasensprung »Of 8km starts at Parc du Château. Both poetic and relaxing, the green fabric is a real green lung located in the heart of the city. Unmissable: a contemplative stop on the footbridge suspended over the body of water called "jute pond", where the lucky ones can be surprised by the graceful dance of Swan.

Ideal for families thanks to playgrounds which adorn this course which presents no difficulty. Prepare your itinerary by downloading the circuit, or by going to the Haguenau Tourist Office.

Useful information : Duration about 3 hours for this loop circuit, with red markings. Departure: parking lot of the Protestant church (rue de l'Eglise). Other marked circuits are offered to discover Bischwiller.
