At the edge of the Eberbach stream in the Forêt d'Exception® de Haguenau, is the Gros Chêne site. Its name is due to a 5 to 6 century old tree struck down on November 13, 1913, of which part of the trunk still remains, topped with a sheet metal hat. Every year the patronal feast of Saint-Arbogast is celebrated in the small chapel built in 1955.

Near the Gros Chêne site, you will find a picnic area, a playground and an inn. The site is also the starting point for many marked trails for walking, cycling and mountain biking circuits, fitness trails, as well as a trail accessible to people with reduced mobility and pushchairs.
