Alsatian Museum

Former chancellery from the end of the 1581th century, it is the most concrete vestige of the former powers of the imperial city. Here were kept safe the archives and the treasure of the city. The Alsatian museum houses many utilitarian or decorative objects which testify more particularly to the art of living in Alsace during the XNUMXth century. A room is reserved for the different regional costumes. The reconstruction of a potter's workshop occupies a room in the museum alongside a traditional interior with its kitchen and its “Stub” (bedroom) equipped with an alcove. The astronomical clock is a copy of the one built for Ulm (Germany) in XNUMX by the Swiss Isaac Habrecht. This building houses the Tourist Office and the Alsatian Museum.
