Unique in France, the Museum of the Popular Image is located in the heart of a region which, since the middle of the XNUMXth century, has continued to enrich the Alsatian heritage with popular hand-painted images. The museum presents the popular Alsatian image and its techniques. These souvenir images painted by hand, cut out with a canivet or painted under glass, bear witness to the highlights of life in Alsace in the XNUMXth century.

This visit allows you to understand an important and touching facet of the way of life and thought of yesteryear. With its regular temporary exhibitions and a rich and varied animation around the works, the museum is aimed at all audiences. It offers children a playful discovery of the works on display and offers access to people with reduced mobility.
