The Route Starting from Haguenau, the capital of Northern Alsace, you will take the Moder Valley cycle route to the former commune of Uberach, home to the famous craft brewery of the same name. After leaving Pfaffenhoffen, the main town of the Moder Valley and home to the surprising Museum of Popular Imagery, the route invites you to discover the farming villages of the Hanau region. Hills, forests, and cereal crops make up the landscape all the way to Bouxwiller. The town boasts an exceptional architectural heritage and can boast of being the birthplace of the famous pretzel. Arriving in Hochfelden, home to the oldest independent family brewery in France, marks a change of scenery. Don't miss a visit to Villa Meteor to learn all about the manufacturing processes of this traditional beverage, a must in Alsace. After crossing the Marne-au-Rhin canal, the hop fields of the Pays de la Zorn and Kochersberg accompany the hiker to Haguenau.
