Spelled "Wintershouse" or "Wintershausen", the name of the village can be translated as "winter houses". A charming village of 907 inhabitants, the “Winter House” is nothing short of icy! At Wintershouse we meet, we dance, we move, we sing, we play. There are plenty of opportunities to meet and share good times. The "crows" (The inhabitants of Wintershouse are decked out with the nickname "crows" ("Rame" in Germanic) flourish in the commune of "herring" (This refers to the company Est-Friture, located in Wintershouse since 1979), which had the honor of very recently welcoming “three dragonflies!” In fact, the commune of Wintershouse was awarded, in November 2016, the “Commune nature” label adorned with 3 dragonflies.
