Yes, it's a pottery and not a fast food in the depths of the United States! However, some visitors think they can enjoy a “burger” there. Decidedly, the name of this pottery (to pronounce Bur-gé please!) is confusing. The coat of arms represents a tower: “Burg” in German, which could be translated by “Delatour” or “Latour” but certainly not by “American sandwich”! A Texas customer once remarked to the potter that pottery has been around much longer than the state of Texas...
So the pottery they know! Indeed, the Pottery Siegfried-Burger et Fils has existed since 1842 and has been managed for 6 generations by the same family. Originally, the pottery was called BURGER; then in 1925, Marie Burger married a potter's son named Ernest SIEGFRIED and since then the pottery has been called Siegfried-Burger.

The store is open Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 13:15 p.m. to 17:30 p.m.; Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 17:30 p.m. No free visit or guided visit. In July and August it offers guided tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 14 p.m. by reservation.
