But what do we find in this small Alsatian house so beautifully decorated? A pottery, of course! And not just any! Welcomed by the pleasant whistle of Willy, the Poterie Friedmann is one of the oldest potteries in Soufflenheim: the first traces of its existence date back to 1802. The potter remains faithful to the teachings that his ancestors have transmitted over the years. Thus, the work by hand and the attachment to the soil of Soufflenheim taken from the Forest of Haguenau motivates him in his work.

Pottery with traditional decorations takes over the displays, but also gives way to new, more colorful collections.

The store is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.; Saturday from 30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 14 p.m.; Sunday and public holidays from 19 p.m. to 14 p.m. (preferably call ahead to confirm opening). The pottery opens its workshop for free visits from Monday to Friday noon. Free guided tours of the workshop (without demonstration) on weekdays by reservation in French and German are offered for groups of more than 18 up to 10 people (or 40 in 100 groups). School groups are not accepted.
