The Haguenau Forest
The sixth largest forest plain in France, the Haguenau forest stretches 30 km from west to east and 10 km from north to south east. Today it is a privileged place of relaxation for Haguenovians and visitors. This green lung, which got the Forest of Exception label®, offers many possibilities for walks and activities! The place called " Great Oak ”, In the heart of the forest, is a place very appreciated by visitors: children's playground, picnic areas, inn to enjoy a flambé pie on the terrace… All the ingredients are there to have a good time of relaxation with family or friends.
Also discover the monument of the oak by Gloria Friedmann, in honor of this tree which was felled by fire and lightning at the beginning of the 20st century, as well as the chapel Saint-Arbogast, hermit who would have lived here before becoming bishop of Strasbourg in 6st century.
