Society of History and Archeology

Founded in 1905, the same year as the opening of the Historical Museum which is its headquarters, the SHAH is faithful to its already long history and to its vocation of making known and developing the ancient and recent history of our city and its region. .
By participating in our activities, you will have many opportunities to experience real moments of meetings and discoveries around the “big” and “little” history.
The Haguenau History and Archeology Society is open to anyone who, without being an experienced historian, is interested in history, architecture, heritage, culture, economy, arts of our city and its forest but which also wishes to open up to other horizons. Our activities will contribute to a better understanding of our current society and to better control its future.
The SHAH wants to be a place of meeting, sharing and conviviality.
