Hochstett has been known since 2003 for its Day Care for the Elderly: AJPA. Next to this Reception Center, and as for its neighbors in the canton, the main vocation of the village has always been agricultural. To date, there are 4 farmers, including 2 dairy producers. We can also cite the repair of the small chapel. The Hochstett Chapel belonged until 2005 to an old family of the village; since then it has been the property of the Municipality. This chapel is located in the valley between the bans of Wittersheim, Mommenheim and Wahlenheim.
It can be visited every Sunday from the beginning of April to the end of October. Since July 2018, in the context of flowered towns and villages, Hochstett has landed its first Flower.
