Location and access
Brumath is one of those rare sites in Alsace to have been inhabited and visited continuously for more than five thousand years. Its basement is still full of countless vestiges from all eras. Part of this impressive collection is also visible at the Archaeological Museum of Brumath. For those who prefer nature walks, the City offers varied landscapes on the edge of Zorn at a place called "l'Abfluss" or along the "Path Here and Elsewhere" taking walkers to explore of the brumathoise forest. In summer, the lake is a destination of choice, as much for its pleasant swimming beach as for the proximity of the adventure and leisure park (accrobranche). Located about twenty kilometers from Strasbourg, Brumath is accessible by two motorway exits, but also two SNCF stations. A dynamic and commercial city, you will find a cinematography complex and many restaurants. If you like unusual encounters, take a look at the Jardin de l'Escalier. Do not miss the highlights of the traditional "Onion Fair" at the end of September and the "Fantastic Trail", a family walk in nature highlighted and enhanced with shows at dusk, at the end of October.
