Location and access
The building to the left of the pharmacy is the Hôtel du Préteur Royal. After the 30 Years' War, Haguenau lost its status as a free city of the Holy Roman Empire, becoming a French city. The King of France installed his representative in the city, responsible for looking after his interests. After the French Revolution, this building successively housed the City Hall and then the District Court. On this square where this mansion is located, the City's main cultural and folkloric events take place such as the Hop Festival, Humor des Notes, and the Christmas Market.
