Location and access
The impressive building protected by high gates is a former private mansion, which housed the premises of the Bank of France from 1922 to 2004. Bought by the City, it currently houses the Luggage Museum, the only one of its kind in Europe. Opened in 2016, it presents more than 200 trunks and other objects related to travel, dating from the 18th century to the 1960s. The collection, which includes unique pieces, belongs to a private couple, Marie and Jean-Philippe Rolland, craftsmen working to the restoration of exceptional old luggage.
