The twelve selected sculptors, both French and German, question our relationship with the world and the environment. This edition offers, through some thirty works, a positive interpretation where, in the face of climate change and the erosion of life, art becomes a space for reflection and reparation.
It was produced with Germain Roesz, exhibition curator.
THE ARTISTS
Winfried Becker sculpts lions from cast steel, revealing tension and energy.
Sylvain Chartier assembles metal into animal silhouettes to express expectation and movement.
René Dantes presents openwork metal structures, where light and air transform our perception of the landscape.
Daniel Depoutot presents gangly beings who reach for the sky.
Bruno Feger plays on the monumental scale of fruits, questioning human domination over nature.
Yoshikazu Goulven The Master recycles materials to create a hybrid fauna where nature and consumerism collide.
Gaëtan Gromer raises awareness of environmental destruction through a dead tree emitting a sound measuring the erosion of our planet.
Thomas Monin presents a pack of wolves made of fluorescent wire, reintroducing the presence of animals into our urban environments.
Patrick Lang restores nobility and power to endangered animals through bronze sculptures.
Karl Manfred Rennertz carves wood with a chainsaw, revealing the memory of trees and their growth.
Nicolas Schneider explores the saturation of images and the question of migration through refined forms.
During the biennial, within a given timeframe, Pierre Louis Peny will work in public spaces to create a sandstone work.
The 2025 Biennale invites us to rethink our relationship with the living, oscillating between the observation of destruction and the desire for reconciliation. Far from being a simple testimony, these works outline paths for repairing and re-enchanting the world.
