The path of the poets

Promoting our regional language, our literature and our environment at the same time, these are the objectives of the town of Bischwiller through this path of the poets called the “Dìchterwaj” in Alsatian.

The path, punctuated by 28 panels on which appear poems in their original versions written in the own dialect of their authors, with their translations into French, allows you to discover the city in a different way, by taking a poetic look at themes as well. varied as heritage, nature, hope, memory, etc.

The course stretches over 9 km with the possibility of dividing it into three different circuits. It starts from Place de la Mairie and will take you through the historic heart of the city, its natural spaces that are the green network and the Ried for a moment of relaxation and pleasure renewed each season.

An extension of the poets' path in Bischwiller was inaugurated in September 2022. It brings a new stone to the influence of the city while discovering some aspects of the Sonnenhof such as the Stolpersteine ​​or the museum.
