The night of May 18 promises to be a celebration of art, culture and history with Museum Night taking place across Europe. On this occasion, the three museums of the city of Haguenau open their doors free of charge to the public from 20 p.m. to midnight and provide a unique opportunity to explore their treasures in a new light.

Historical Museum
The museum will be open to the public from 20 p.m. to midnight.

Light installation “Light Matter” and artistic performance
In the interior courtyard of the museum, visitors will be able to admire a custom-made light installation entitled “Lumière Matière” designed by the Compagnie de la Rue de la Casse. An artistic performance will accompany this installation.

Stained glass puppet shows “The Widow and the Knight”
Stained glass artist Mylène Billand will offer several performances of her stained glass puppet show “The Widow and the Knight”. Based on a 12th century text and in a medieval setting, the art of stained glass resumes its primary function: telling stories.
Performance times: 20:30 p.m. – 21:15 p.m. – 22 p.m. – 22:45 p.m.

“The Class, the Work! »
The 5e3 class of Kléber college in Haguenau will present their achievements as part of the “Class, Work!” ". For several months, the students worked in teams around the themes of glass and Art Nouveau stained glass. The selected work is the Art Nouveau dome of the dome room of the Historical Museum dating from the beginning of the XNUMXth century.
Presentation of achievements by students: 20:15 p.m. to 21:15 p.m.

Baggage Museum
The museum will be open to the public from 20 p.m. to midnight.

Guided tours in French will be offered by volunteer guides from the Luggage Museum Association throughout the evening.
Visiting times: 20 p.m. – 20:30 p.m. – 21 p.m. – 21:30 p.m. – 22 p.m. – 22:30 p.m.

Alsatian Museum
The museum will be open to visitors all evening, from 20 p.m. to midnight.

Annonciades Chapel
A new cultural venue in the City of Haguenau, recently renovated and inaugurated in 2023, the desecrated Annonciades chapel now hosts exhibitions, concerts and shows throughout the year.

“MEMORIA IN SITU” show
La Chapelle des Annonciades will host the Compagnie Le Talon Rouge, in residence at the Théâtre de Haguenau. Pascal Doumange, composer, and Alex Claude, painter, will perform two performances of their show

“MEMORIA IN SITU”, a dialogue between music and painting, specially designed for this place steeped in history.
