Cinema - Two Prosecutors

Soviet Union, 1937. Thousands of letters from prisoners wrongly accused by the regime are burned in a prison cell. Against all odds, one of them reaches its destination, landing on the desk of the newly appointed local prosecutor, Alexander Kornev. He scrambles to meet the prisoner, a victim of agents of the secret police, the NKVD.

This plunge into the Stalinist totalitarian regime won the François-Chalais prize at the Cannes Film Festival, an award given to films dedicated to the values ​​of journalism.
