Variable geometry - Cie du Faro

With Géométrie Variable, Matthieu Villatelle uses magic to explore the mechanisms of fake news. Drawing parallels between mentalists and digital giants, all experts in manipulating our attention, he offers us a series of interactive and playful experiences that shake up our relationship with the truth.

With this project, the Faro company questions what constitutes the veracity of information: how can we create an impression of truth and thus share false information? How can we trap the viewer's critical thinking? Matthieu Villatelle invites us to sharpen our vigilance in an era where the false can appear to be true – and where fake news is becoming a powerful tool for disrupting our opinions.
