What if your wishes were granted... even if you lost everything? Loosely based on the Brothers Grimm's tale "The Fisherman and His Wife," Message in a Bottle is a contemporary family circus show. A fisherman catches a magical fish that grants wishes... So, he and his wife use and abuse it. From pots and pans to cars, from comfort to whims, the requests keep coming. Always more, more, more... but at what cost?

In this revisited fable, the Wissembourg company La Mule Cirque questions our era—that of fast fashion, plastic, and disposable packaging—with a edgy language combining body, sound, manipulation, tension, and repetition. Aerial, acrobatic, funny, and powerful, Bouteilles à la mer captivates young and old alike. A visual spectacle, somewhere between enchantment and shipwreck, that speaks to us about ourselves, our excesses... and their consequences.
