Anissa never knew her father and has been looking for her father since she was very young. One day, when she had given up all hope, she finds his trail in a way worthy of the most melodramatic TV movies. Director Ahmed Madani, fascinated by her story, pushes her to go in search of this man in a quest full of adventures.

While baking pastries, a symbolic bridge between her father and herself, Anissa plays and talks with the audience while Ahmed Madani shares the stage with her. Their complicity and their simple and direct exchanges create a warm atmosphere where humor and emotion bathe in chocolatey scents. In the name of the father is a vibrant cry of love launched by a young woman to a father who has been absent for too long, an ode to hope, resilience, forgiveness, and the strength of life.
