Charlotte Juillard, Marc Lachat, Inga Kazantseva & the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra

For this symphonic concert event, the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Charlotte Juillard, does us the honour of returning to Bischwiller in a programme based around the romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn and his illustrious predecessors, Joseph Haydn and Jean-Sébastien Bach.

We will have the pleasure of listening to Bach's Concerto for Violin and Oboe in a magnificent duo formed by our guest artist, oboist Marc Lachat, originally from Bischwiller and principal oboist at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, and Charlotte Juillard, super-soloist violinist of the OPS. It will be followed by Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 2, a brilliant, dynamic and virtuoso work, performed by pianist Inga Kazantseva, a long-time partner of the OPS. We will then find Mendelssohn in one of his Sinfonias for string orchestra, followed by Haydn's symphony La surprise… to be discovered in the 2nd movement!
