Self-guided tour of the nurseries of the Saint-Augustin parish

Since 1901, the parish of Saint-Augustin has housed a nativity scene located between the transept and the choir. For 120 years, this nativity scene has been regularly restored and repainted. Since 2020, it has been enhanced by new lighting and floral enrichment.
In addition, the nativity scene in the chapel of the former "Vestra" factory, which was located rue du Maréchal Joffre, was acquired by the Orthodox community for a symbolic euro. This nativity scene has been restored and is on display in the Saint-Augustin church.
Finally, after more than 20 years of absence, a dromedary from the large crèche will be present again. It was missing, found and restored for 2 years. (all restorations are done by parish volunteers).
