Laura Cortese and Bert Ruymbeek capture the atmosphere of significant moments and transform them into unforgettable sonic narratives. Sometimes sung, sometimes instrumental, their music takes the form of an intimate dialogue. Like storytellers, Laura and Bert evoke the people, places, and stories that mark their lives. Their compositions cover a wide range of emotions, like a fluid, associative conversation.

Laura Cortese has forged a distinguished career as an American violinist, singer, and songwriter. Born in San Francisco, California, she moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music, immersing herself in the local indie music scene and pursuing an intense studio and touring career. In 2018, she relocated to Ghent, Belgium. Bert Ruymbeek, a Ghent-based accordionist, is known for his groovy energy and lyrical playing.
