Funny Oizo

Nature whispers. We are in the middle of the forest. A strange oizo, twig by twig, builds a nest not only for himself, but also to receive, give birth, educate, and finally let fly. The other strange oizo, frail and groping, ventures, stumbles, sketches, tames his fears, under the protective encouragement of his elder, invested with the right to transmit his knowledge as he pleases, in all fantasy, in all maturity and awareness of the world.

Throughout the seasons, voices, gestures, and instruments intertwine, respond to each other, and call out to each other in a chirping of bird calls, a cackle of percussion, bamboo, or a soaring harp. The two singer-instrumentalists mingle with the fauna and flora that surround them, creating a rhythmic and melodic language that mirrors that of nature. Awakening, marveling, venturing, falling, getting up to move forward, leaving the cozy nest to grow and fly toward one's own destiny. Trace, exchange, and transmission are the key words of this show, as soft as a bird's nest made of feathers, silky and welcoming, tender and funny at the same time.
