Almataha - Cie Zahrbat

Combining hip hop dance, object theater and puppetry, “Almataha” immerses us in a refined kraft paper setting from which appears Shorty, a little paper man who is manipulated with finesse and precision by three dancers. Immersed in a deep dream, Shorty will discover a universe inspired by mythological figures and the labyrinthine journey of Icarus facing the powerful Minotaur.

The presence of these cardboard and paper objects at different scales and their movement take us into imaginary worlds. This family show choreographed by Brahim Bouchelaghem is a poetic exploration as well as an initiatory and emancipatory journey. Faced with dangers, our puppet will find the courage and inner strength to gain his freedom while discovering the joy of dancing.
