Rock it Daddy - Cie S'poart

An ode to rock music from its creation in the 50s to the present day, "Rock It Daddy" builds a bridge between this musical genre and hip hop dance. While these two cultures are often put in opposition, the choreographer Mickaël Le Mer observes how much today's young people are children of rockers.

With an incredible burst of energy and choreographic prowess, six high-level dancers persist in inventing bodily mixes between the two worlds. They are inspired by the clips of the time and model their bodies in order to offer a gesture specific to this show.

By confronting the great standards of the genre (Elvis Presley, Jimmy Hendrix, The Beatles, The White Stripes, etc.), they invent a free and inventive dance language as rock music has always been.
