Since 1901, the parish of Saint-Augustin has housed a nativity scene located between the transept and the choir. For 120 years, this nativity scene has been regularly restored and repainted. Since 2020, it has been enhanced by new lighting and floral enrichment.
After more than 21 years of absence, a dromedary will be present again. It had disappeared, was found and restored for 2 years (all restorations are done by the parish volunteers) for the pleasure of all.

In addition, the Orthodox community which acquired and restored the nativity scene in the Jute chapel, rue du Maréchal Joffre, will also exhibit it in the Saint-Augustin church.

Great discoveries to make with the family.

This visit to the nativity scenes is part of the “Alsace nativity scene trails” circuit (Northern zone).
