Azerbaijan, often nicknamed "Land of Fire," is a transcontinental country located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, on the coast of the Caspian Sea. A former Soviet republic, its capital is Baku, a city blending modern architecture with historical sites. The country is rich in natural resources, particularly oil and gas, which have contributed significantly to its development.
